You can receive/respond to invites, see who else is going, and make payments via WhatsApp. If you're an organiser, you'll get additional notifications about attendee numbers and dropouts.
If you have an existing WhatsApp group, you can keep it running alongside Squaddle (they are completely separate). You may choose to use Squaddle for invites and important updates while keeping your existing WhatsApp group for general chat.
No — if you don't want to use WhatsApp for Squaddle notifications you can use email instead, with all the same functionality.
No — only organisers are able to sign in via the website. Players simply receive and respond to invites via WhatsApp or email.
Yes — you can create or join as many squads as you want.
Organisers can create a new squad by going to 'My squads' in the account menu and using the 'Create new squad' button.
Please email info@squaddle.co.uk.
Squaddle is currently in beta, so you may encounter bugs from time-to-time — please let us know when you do. No issue is too small, and if you think something could be clearer or doesn't make sense, please let us know. We'll be really grateful for any feedback as we work to improve Squaddle.
When you create your squad you’ll get a joining link to share with others. You may want to paste this link into your existing WhatsApp group or share it with people individually.
To find the link again later, go to the Squad tab and hit the 'Add member' button.
Yes — go to your Squad and find the person you'd like to promote. Hit the three vertical dots next to their name and select "Give admin rights". They will receive an email or WhatsApp message (depending on their notification settings) explaining how to accept the invite, after which they'll be able to log in and manage the squad.
You can message the entire squad by going to the Squad tab and hitting the 'Message squad' button.
You can also send a message only to respondents of an individual activity— to do so, head to the activity in question and hit the 'Send message' button.
You can change the title, location, date/time, or number of participants by clicking the three vertical dots next to the activity title, then "Edit details". Your squad will be notified of changes with an updated invite.
To change payment details or whether or not the activity repeats you'll need to cancel and recreate the activity.
When you cancel an activity, a message will go out to all squad members (except those who responded out) explaining that it's been cancelled. If it's a repeating activity, you'll be asked if you want to cancel just the one activity or all future activities. If anyone has already paid for the activity, they will be refunded.
Yes — if one of your players lets you know outside of Squaddle that they want to attend (or not), you can mark their response manually via the activity details page (use the three vertical dots next to their name in the respondent list).
On each activity screen, you can see who's paid, and in the Payments tab, you can see a list of outstanding payments for all activities. From there you can send payment reminders to anyone who owes money.
Yes — if you're using Squaddle for payments but one of your members pays you outside of Squaddle, you can manually mark them as paid via the activity details screen (use the three vertical dots next to their name). This will cancel the relevant outstanding payment for the player (it doesn't affect the squad balance because this only reflects payments taken via Squaddle).
If someone has paid but then drops out before the activity, or if an activity is cancelled, we will automatically refund affected users (you don’t need to contact us).
If someone needs to be refunded for another reason, please contact us at info@squaddle.co.uk.
Go to the payments tab, then 'Balance and withdrawals', and use the 'Withdraw funds' button. Withdrawals can take up to three working days but are usually quicker.
On the Squad tab, hit the three vertical dots next to the member’s name and then"Remove from squad".
Yes — go to "My squads" in the account menu and then use the vertical dots menu next to the name of the squad, selecting 'Squad settings'.
If you use WhatsApp, you just need to respond "out" to the activity. If you use email, find the message about the activity in question and use the button to mark yourself out.
